Finding My Way Back

It has been sometime since I have been here.  I have been up and down on the road to health and wellness.  Last year I lost 40 pounds but then gained 20 pounds back.  Then just stayed in steady state for awhile; not losing, not gaining.  I went through a significant personal challenge and once I got through it I just didn't get back to my dietary self-defense the way I wanted.So, in April 2012 I was called out by my mentor Tom Callos after attending a training at RMCAT.  Sensei Quinn at the facility expressed concern about my health to my coach.  The phone call was a jolt back to reality. I have lost 24 pounds since April.  While not yet mastering the art of mindful eating as fully as I would like I have made major in roads in the process.  Eating a heavily plant-based diet with lean proteins.  I am praying/meditating about going vegetarian/vegan.  It is a significant change but I continue to be drawn toward this lifestyle.  However, there is a part of me (probably ego) that says I can't give up meat altogether!  Actually, I would probably miss it for awhile but then I think over time that "thought process" would pass.  I don't know.  Like I said I continue to meditate/pray about how to move forward.My goal is to continue to practice mastering the concepts of mindful eating and mindful living.  To get my prediabetic condition under control and to post video and/or blogs here once a week. NamasteSee More
